Alfred Walter Stark, son of Charles Stark and Wilhelmine Catherine Schwarz, was born May 15, 1884 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, died about 1950 in Miami Florida, and married Frances Unknown, who was born in Germany. Walter was a flamboyant character. He owned a new automobile when they first were manufactured. His wife, Frances, dressed in “flapper” outfits during the 1920’s. They had an apartment in Allegheny City, today known as the North Side of Pittsburgh. Walter and Frances did not have children. He was self employed as a photographer most of his adult life and took the school children class pictures in a number of local school systems. Frances suffered from arthritis and before her death, she and Walter went to enjoy the waters of a resort that had hot springs. In the late 1940’s and early 1950’s, Walter was living in Miami, Florida, where he died in the early 1950’s.
